2 November For Immediate Release Daytime, Election Day – Carl Dix, RefuseFascism.org Join Efforts to Stop Voter Suppression and IntimidationElection Night Gathering 7:00 pm on, Independence MallDuring the day on Election Day in Philadelphia, Refuse Fascism Philly, joined by long-time revolutionary and co-initiator of RefuseFascism.org Carl Dix, will field a team to rapidly and non-violently respond to attempts to intimidate or prevent people from voting, ensure their right to vote, and expose any such efforts as part of Trump’s illegitimate rolling fascist coup. They will be coordinating with other groups working to protect the vote. “Trump hasn’t been running a re-election campaign,” Dix states. “He’s been running a campaign to consolidate fascist rule for four years now. This is now coming to a head in this election with Trump’s white supremacist campaign of voter suppression and intimidation, his refusal to accept a peaceful transfer of power, and the host of ways he’s already stealing the election. We are mobilizing people to refuse to accept a fascist America and pledge to use all non-violent means to oust this regime.” At 7:00 pm, Refuse Fascism Philly will host an election night gathering in Independence Mall with live updates and analysis, music, food, and a range of speakers including Carl Dix, City Council member Jamie Gauthier, Prof. Daniella Johannes, and Refuse Fascism’s Sam Goldman. “We’ll discuss the threat Trump’s regime poses and the power of the people to stop it,” Goldman says. “We need to prepare for the momentous struggle if Trump cries the election is a fraud, attempts to shut down counting the votes or in other ways nullify the election.” Refuse Fascism.org states:NOW IS THE TIME TO STAND TOGETHER IN THE STREETS AND PUBLIC SQUARES, CONTINUING THROUGH THE ELECTION AND AS LONG AS IT TAKES TO DRIVE THIS FASCIST REGIME OUT OF POWER. “We must vote in big numbers. Our numbers, our diversity, and our heart for humanity can overwhelm this fascist movement and sustain us through whatever the Trump/Pence regime tries to do to remain in power.
