February 17 – Donald Trump visited a Boeing plant near Charleston, South Carolina today. Boeing is one of the largest military manufacturers in the country. Trump vowed to build up a military “so great none will dare to challenge it”. He said his administration is considering a “big order” of F-18 Super Hornet fighter jets. Trump threatened the world: “America is going to start winning again, winning like never, ever before.” Consider some facts. The U.S. spends more on its military than the next seven nations combined. The U.S. has about 6,800 nuclear weapons in its arsenal. Trump has already questioned the point of having nuclear weapons without using them. He has blustered threats against Iran, North Korea and other countries. Trump’s call to “make America Great” is an illegitimate, war-mongering call to establish the U.S. as the unquestioned dominant force in the world, to put the world under the U.S. thumb, by whatever means.
