Protests, vigils, and other events in support of the anti-Nazi demonstrators in Charlottesville, and Trump’s threats against North Korea, and against his defense and emboldening of murderous fascists have continued in different parts of the country.
In New York, hundreds demonstrated at Trump Tower on Tuesday night for the second straight night. Michael Moore and Mark Ruffalo led double decker busses from Moore’s Broadway show to Trump Tower to join in the protest. In Philadelphia, Refuse Fascism and others marched through the streets with banners demanding the Trump/Pence Regime be drive out.
A report from Honolulu said that “about 30 people came to protest racism and fascism at the Honolulu Federal Building called by Refuse Fascism Hawai`i Wednesday. The big NO posters were picked up right away — including by people who had previously said they were too “harsh” or “going too far”. People drummed and chanted “No Trump, No KKK, No Fascist USA. Many seemed in disbelief about Trump’s latest doubling down and talked about the need to face what’s going on straight-up. The mood is definitely changing here.”
