Mayor Jesse Arreguin says “stay away” and urges people not to protest the fascists who have planned a “No to Marxism” rally at MLK Park on Sunday – We say… “NO! We Refuse to Accept a Fascist America.”
Refuse Fascism calls for thousands and tens of thousands of people to protest both the “Patriot Prayer” rally this Saturday in San Francisco at Crissy Field, and the “no to Marxism” rally this Sunday in Berkeley at MLK Park.
Xochitl Johnson of Refuse Fascism said “We have to act in the name of humanity, protesting in huge numbers wherever these murderous neo-nazi KKK thugs aim to enforce the fascist agenda of the Trump/Pence Regime. These fascists have to be driven out of the Bay Area, off the campuses and out of power!” Refuse Fascism has called for November 4 to be a day of mass gatherings that do not leave the streets and town squares until their demand is met: This Nightmare Must End! The Trump/Pence Regime Must Go!”
Tony Serra, Curtis Briggs and other solo practitioner colleagues at Pier 5 Law Offices, in San Francisco, have pledged to provide pro bono legal services for Bay Area community members arrested for counter-protesting against the fascists this weekend.
Attorney Curt Briggs says “Racism is vile. Should a counter-demonstrator be charged with a violent crime against a Neo-Nazi or White Supremacist at the Patriot Prayer event, lawyers at our office will represent that person regardless of their ability to pay for our services,” says attorney Curt Briggs. “We urge criminal defense lawyers in all communities to do the same.”
Refuse Fascism will also be joining with others in opposition to the fascists descending on UC Berkeley campus with the message: This is not about free speech, this is about fascism!
