Nationwide Protests to Begin Today:
Regardless of whether you voted… even with a Democratic House
We Must Be In the Streets, Beginning Today
TO DEMAND AND DEMONSTRATE OUR DETERMINATION THAT:
IN THE NAME OF HUMANITY,
THE TRUMP/PENCE REGIME MUST GO!
Today, the day after the midterm elections, RefuseFascism.org is staging protests in 14 cities across the country to raise the demand: “In the Name of Humanity, The Trump/Pence Regime Must Go!”
“The Trump/Pence regime is still in power, barreling ahead with their fascist agenda. They have locked in a majority pro-fascist Supreme Court, have whipped up violent white supremacy, are carrying out xenophobic ethnic cleansing and more.
“Today, we vote with our feet in the streets to say no and to build our strength to drive them from power before fascism is fully consolidated and it becomes too late!” says Sunsara Taylor, a spokesperson for RefuseFascism.org.
After an election season marked by pipe bombs sent to major Democratic Party figures and CNN, the largest antisemitic massacre in U.S. history, the racist murder of two African American people in Kentucky, Trump’s openly racist campaign ad and escalating threats against migrants and immigrants, RefuseFascism.org warns that these forces of fascism cannot be put back in the bottle. Instead, the people who oppose all this must take to the streets to manifest their opposition and demand the removal of the whole Trump/Pence regime.
The RefuseFascism.org website announces, “On November 7 and then again on Saturday, November 10 on an even bigger scale, we are taking to the streets in a different kind of protest movement, one that refuses to get swept up in another election cycle that buys our silence and capitulation to fascism, and instead demonstrates our singular demand and determination that: NO! In the Name of Humanity, We REFUSE to Accept a Fascist America!”
