WHAT: STREET PROTESTS / RALLIES
WHEN: TUESDAY FEBRUARY 5
WHERE: MAJOR U. S. CITIES
RefuseFascism.org is calling people into the streets Tuesday to seize
the moment of the State of the Union address to denounce Trump’s message
and to demand
Trump/Pence Must Go! To the World’s Migrants and All of Humanity,
We REFUSE to Accept a Fascist America!
Every indication is Trump will be throwing down on building “The Wall”
and likely ratcheting up his threats to declare a national state of
emergency. Trump’s Wall is both a virulent symbol and a mechanism for
escalating ethnic cleansing as part of a whole fascist agenda of “Make
America White Again.” It is being pushed with lies demonizing and
criminalizing millions of immigrants, stoking the ugliest white
supremacy in a society born in genocide and slavery. If Trump declares a
“national emergency,” that would be a big step in the fascist remolding
of society.
Two years into a fascist regime, it is all the more urgent that in the
name of humanity, the whole regime must be driven OUT. Not “met halfway”
or accommodated to in terms of a “better way” to terrorize and
marginalize immigrants, but driven OUT.
Organizers aim to wake people up, and shake them out of toxic illusions
that some savior other than us, in our thousands and millions, will end
this nightmare and encourage people to join them in doing just that.
