9 November For Immediate Release Struggle to oust Trump/Pence Far From Over:NYT Ad signed by Prominent FiguresDemands Trump/Pence OUTNOWTrump ramps up legal challenges; Trump supporters prepare to take to the streetsA full-page Ad designed by the artist, Shepard Fairey in the November 9th, New York Times by the organization RefuseFascism.org signed by prominent intellectuals such as Cornel West, Noam Chomsky, Lilly Wachowski and Chuck D and hundreds more, was headlined In The Name of Humanity, We REFUSE to ACCEPT a Fascist AMERICA. Co-author of the ad, A Pledge to the People of the World, Andy Zee said: “We placed this ad just when Trump is ramping up outrageous legal challenge to the election; is marshaling his loyal Republican forces in the Federal and State governments, up to the Supreme Court, now packed with “his” judges. This is the import of millions heeding the message of this Pledge. Stealing an election gets to the core of a fascist power grab and we refuse to live in a fascist America.” Refusing to concede, Trump won’t release funds for Joe Biden’s transition team. Republican leaders back Trump or are silent. A Trump fascist group announced a “million MAGA march” on Washington this Saturday. Coco Das, co-writer of the ad, pointed out that the signers have pledged to: “’stay in the streets… until this American fascism is brought to a halt.’ Trump’s refusal to recognize the clear result of the election and his bogus, illegal and extra-legal attempts to reverse that result make clear the need to continue to act in the public square.” Refuse Fascism has called for mass protests on Saturday November 14 under the lead slogan: Trump Is Still Trying to Steal the Election! Trump/Pence OUTNOW! “In the Name of Humanity, We REFUSE to Accept a Fascist America. The Trump/Pence Regime Must Go!,” read the opening lines of a Pledge to the People of the World published as a full page ad in The New York Times on November 9th by RefuseFascism.org. In addition to Cornel West, Noam Chomsky, Lilly Wachowski and Chuck D, the Pledge was also signed by Arturo O’Farrill, Jodie Sweetin, Alyssa Milano, Peter Carey, Fat Mike and hundreds more.
