On the anniversary of Kristallnacht: We can’t say we don’t know

Germans loot Jewish shops during Kristallnacht

Today is the anniversary of Kristallnacht. On November 9 and 10, 1938, Nazi paramilitary forces AND civilians terrorized Jewish people… ransacking homes and businesses, destroying synagogues, and rounding up 30,000 Jewish men for concentration camps. And after it
was over, the Jewish community was fined for the damage.

At what point should this have been stopped, and how? The truth is the German people were already complicit by Kristallnacht. They should have risen up and driven out the Nazi regime before it was too late.
Enough of them hated Hitler, and could see what was happening, but they did not act to drive the Nazis out of power.

We can’t say we don’t know. We know there are concentration camps. We know there is a regime in power targeting group after group, putting children in cages, unleashing white supremacist murder, with a Christian fascist wing trying (and succeeding) to eviscerate the
separation between church and state, make women the property of men and the government, send LGBT people back to the closet or worse.

History does not have to repeat itself, but that’s in our hands. Today, you need to be in the streets saying TrumpPence #OutNow, and spreading the word, starting now and for the next week: join us Saturday, November 16, MASS DEMONSTRATIONS, in cities and towns across the country, in the streets with the demand: TRUMP/PENCE OUT NOW!

Nothing short of driving out this regime through our determined, mass, nonviolent, and unrelenting mass struggle in the streets, demanding a fascist regime must go NOW, will resolve this crisis.

IN THE NAME OF HUMANITY, WE REFUSE TO ACCEPT A FASCIST AMERICA!

NOW IS the TIME WHEN WE MUST RISE UP and ACT to STOP the CONSOLIDATION of TRUMP MAGA FASCISM. For the lives of people here and around the world we must refuse unlawful and inhumane orders… we must fill the streets and town squares in non-violent protest—not stopping until we become millions — not relenting until this regime is no longer able to implement its program or maintain its hold on power.
