Newsweek: Nationwide marches against “Death, Lies and Fascism” planned as U.S. nears 200,000 COVID-19 deaths

Refuse Fascism Says: No Fascist Supreme Court Appointment

Demand Trump/Pence Out Now!

September 21 Nationwide Protests

Today Newsweek reports: “More than a dozen marches are due to take place at cities across the country in protest of President Donald Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 outbreak as the U.S. nears 200,000 deaths.”

“Refuse Fascism, a group who describe the Trump/Pence regime as a ‘catastrophic danger to humanity and the planet’ have organized nationwide rallies for Monday, 21 September in response to the U.S having the highest coronavirus death count in the world.”

“The ‘March Against Death, Lies, and Fascism and For Humanity’ events taking place in New York, Washington D.C, San Francisco, Houston and Chicago, among other cities, is also being promoted as a build up for daily protests scheduled to happen throughout October against the GOP’s plans to replace Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg before November’s election,” Newsweek reports.

In today’s press release, Refuse Fascism’s Andy Zee states:

“Waiting for or relying on the upcoming election alone – an election Trump is already sabotaging and refusing to be bound by – to remove this regime is not just irresponsible. It is complicity,” Andy Zee, a co-initiator of RefuseFascism.org emphasizes.

“We must rise now, as millions did earlier this year for Black lives, uniting and preparing to struggle with all we’ve got to oust this fascist regime and bring its program to a halt,” Zee says. “Our actions must lead into an October of people from many different backgrounds and viewpoints coming together week after week, day after day, in growing continuing nonviolent protests that do not stop until this demand is met: TRUMP/PENCE OUT NOW!”

IN THE NAME OF HUMANITY, WE REFUSE TO ACCEPT A FASCIST AMERICA!

NOW IS the TIME WHEN WE MUST RISE UP and ACT to STOP the CONSOLIDATION of TRUMP MAGA FASCISM. For the lives of people here and around the world we must refuse unlawful and inhumane orders… we must fill the streets and town squares in non-violent protest—not stopping until we become millions — not relenting until this regime is no longer able to implement its program or maintain its hold on power.
