If you have friends or family in DC, ask to stay with them, and bring them to the National Mall at 11 am on November 5 to launch the largest nonviolent mobilization in US history – to drive out of the Trump Fascist Regime!
If you’re driving to DC or plan on renting a car while you’re there, you’ll want to avoid driving into the District unless you need a car to bring people or supplies; traffic is often jammed, always unpredictable, and parking hard to find and expensive. This is all the more so when we’re engaged in protests and actions.
This is why it’s extremely helpful to find housing near a Metro line (Click here for WMATA information), and they extend well into the Maryland and Northern Virginia suburbs, where housing is often less expensive. So that’s something to determine before you book housing: how close is it to a Metro line? If you have a car, you can drive to a Metro stop and park there but again that’s adding to your expenses.

If you are driving to or in the DMV, ask if hotel parking is included with hotel fees when making reservation. These fees can add up daily if not included. Some hotels do not offer parking on site. Also, check if there a re-entry fee when returning several times throughout the day.
