WHY YOUR PARTICIPATION IS IMPORTANT
Almost 100,000 volunteers worked — and over a million New Yorkers voted — for people-powered politics and a vision of dignity-for-all and justice based on the rule of law and the U.S. Constitution. If the fascist regime is not stopped, what we fought for in New York will not survive. There is no alternative; this regime must be removed. There is no living with fascism in America. If not driven from power, atrocities will escalate and eventually crush all legal efforts to oppose it.
CRUELTY IS THE POINT
USAID and other agencies supplying food and medical services to impoverished communities — funded by Congress last year — have been dismantled, unleashing famine and death upon millions.
Masked agents arrest mothers and fathers — working here for decades — without cause or warrant, terrifying children who are American citizens, traumatized by the sudden seizure of a parent.
The Bully-in-Chief called Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani a communist, and threatened to cancel the federally funded Hudson Tunnel Project. We cannot Trump-proof one city, but must remove the cancer that infects the government and threatens democracy.
The Trump-induced longest government shutdown withheld SNAP benefits for the needy, illegally fired thousands of federal workers, and denied long-standing cost-saving health care subsidies.
Robert Kennedy Jr., Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services — with no education in health care whatsoever — fostered mistrust in vaccinations for years, contributing to outbreaks in measles causing North America to lose its verification as free from endemic measles transmission.
No one voted for this cruel and unusual treatment of people, government, and country. Trump’s approval ratings are in the 30s; the lowest of any President, surpassing the previous record set in his first term.
MIDTERM ELECTIONS ARE TOO LATE
Republicans are currently gerrymandering districts, challenging voter registrants, suing over mail voting and drop boxes, and planning ever more sinister ways to ensure that they never lose.
We cannot expect the tyrant who unleashed the siege on January 6th — and pardoned every one of those convicted — to respect any election he loses.

WHO’S REALLY RUNNING THE GOVERNMENT?
Elon Musk — having no government experience, and without researching their missions or speaking to agency heads — sought to expose waste, fraud, and abuse and cut the federal deficit. By the end, it was a fraud on the American people that invaded personal data, a waste of taxpayer funds that didn’t lower the deficit one iota, and a hideous abuse of federal workers by termination and dismantling large elements of a well-functioning, complex government.
Fundamental rights are ignored as a lawless Department of Justice loses cases brought without cause, and the Supreme Court sells out We the People to a wannabe king.
This regime’s Machiavellian immigration agenda — designed by Stephen Miller and carried out by unidentified ICE agents — continues while the regime defaces the White House and destroys the East Wing, a national historic landmark. The noises you hear are the Founding Fathers turning over in their graves.
THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE CAN DRIVE OUT THIS FASCIST REGIME
For 250 years America has been a shining city on a hill, an example of leadership, statesmanship, truth, humanitarianism, and democracy. In less than a year all is in peril as this feckless regime has run roughshod over conventions and norms on which we have long depended. The current Republican-controlled Congress has let it occur. Democratic wins in NY, NJ, GA, and MS show that We the People are fed up.
If millions of Americans flood the capital in nonviolent protest — while there is still a chance — we can toss aside this fascism that no American voted for, no patriot believes in, and no constitutional scholar recognizes.
