A one hour speech by Bob Avakian drawing on decades of work analyzing the rise of American fascism, exposing the fascist nature of the first Trump regime, and arguing for mass nonviolent resistance to drive it from power. Still highly relevant today!
Why Watch It: Gives a comprehensive overview and understanding of what gave rise to Trump/MAGA fascism, why relying on the normal channels will not stop it, and how it is possible to drive the Trump fascist regime from power.
Discussion afterwards will offer a chance to dig more deeply into what is fascism, why we are confronted with fascism right now in the US, why RF’s stand is “In the Name of Humanity We Refuse to Accept a Fascist America” and it’s singular unifying demand is “Trump Must Go Now”, what has changed about the objective situation and how we can continue to carry out RF’s mission to drive out this fascist regime.
No Kings Day (NKD) is March 28. Refuse Fascism is partnering with NKD nationally and at the end of the meeting we can begin to make plans to build for NKD in Boston and to bring the demand “Trump Must Go Now” out to the Boston Common that day as part of NKD.
