The Refuse Fascism Faith Task Force asks you to join us to Break the Silence this Saturday, November 18, and make a joyful NOISE to sound the alarm that Trump and Pence threaten humanity and the planet and this regime must go!
Will you call forward members of your congregation and community? Can you write an open letter yourself or with colleagues? (See letter from Ohio below.) Can you speak at a rally near you?
What is the silence we are breaking? The silence of normalization and accommodation. Of people going along with their lives as Trump escalates nuclear war threats, as immigrants are detained and deported, as everyday fascism is advanced.
What is the noise we are bringing? A cacophony of sound, with pots, pans, drums, Instruments and our voices…choirs, cantors, bell ringing. We will be waking up and calling forward all those who burn with outrage at this regime but don’t yet know of this movement. We will march to a beat with a determination that this regime will not destroy humanity.
Who can make this happen? You and your your congregants and friends…joining with youth and parents… teachers, artists, singers, dance troupes…families in cities around this country — a rainbow of exuberant sound, a new light coming forward in the darkness of this nightmare.
