Donald Trump tweeted: Marshawn Lynch of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders stands for the Mexican anthem and sits down to boos for our national anthem. Great disrespect! Next time NFL should suspend him for remainder of season. Attendance and ratings way down.”

Xochitl Johnson of Refuse Fascism responded: “Like Marshawn’s shirt said: EVERYBODY VS TRUMP! Donald Trump is a white supremacist to the core… banning Muslims, demonizing Latino immigrants, and attacking Black athletes who don’t ask “how high” when he says jump. First he demands gratitude from UCLA basketball players like a paternalistic slavemaster and then lashes out at LaVar Ball for insufficient gratitude.”

“Mexico is not the country with the highest incarceration rate in the world, imprisoning disproportionately Black and Brown people”, said Rafael Kadaris of Refuse Fascism: “Mexico is not the country where police are gunning down Black people with impunity! In Trump’s fascist worldview, the Nazis and KKK white supremacists in Charlottesville are “very fine people”… while the NFL players who protest the murder by police of people of color are “sons of bitches” who should be immediately fired.”

White supremacy + mandatory patriotism + the suppression of dissent = FASCISM. This nightmare must end — the Trump/Pence regime must go!
