Donald Trump went to the Department of Homeland Security today and announced a multi-pronged intensification of already brutal attacks on immigrants from Mexico and Central America. He ordered “immediate” construction of a “border wall”, hiring 5,000 more federal agents to patrol the border and a tripling of I.C.E (Immigration) agents, building more concentration camps for immigrants in the Southwest, and withdrawing federal funding for so-called “sanctuary cities”. This is what Trump means when he says he puts “America First” – a fascist escalation of violence, repression and punishment against millions of immigrants.
