It’s incredible just how much noise 30 people armed with drums, bullhorns and voices can make! After signholding at Ala Moana/Atkinson for about an hour we jumped on a trolley decorated with our banners and messages and rolled through Waikiki! Thousands saw and heard us. Our chants bounced off the walls and tourists on the 30th floor of highrise hotels came to their lanais. Swimmers and surfers stood in the water and waved; teenagers playing ball in a park stopped their games and pumped their fists. “No Trump! No KKK! No Fascist USA!” People on sidewalks along Kalakaua Blvd swayed to the chants. Some clapped; some cheered; and some raised fists! More than a few made use of their middle finger. When our trolley rolled into the parking lot at the big Kapono Concert at the shell people in the line welcomed up; the crew in the back ran out and pumped their fists; even Henry Kapono was raising his fist while people who had already entered the concert lined up where they could catch a glimpse of us.
Trump is a demented bully with his finger on the nuclear trigger – brazenly ratcheting up the danger of war from North Korea to the Middle East. Immigrants are terrorized and children are still separated from their parents. The Supreme Court sits on the verge of a pro-fascist majority, making it a fully pliant tool in the Trump/Pence regime’s drive to ratify, protect and enforce its agenda. This regime is advancing a program to: “Make America WHITE Again;” impose a Christian fascist theocracy; accelerate the environmental destruction of our planet; deprive women of abortion and birth control; slam LGBTQ people backwards; and as a concentrated manifestation of fascism, strip away the right to dissent and eviscerate civil rights and civil liberties. All that and more, and far worse for generations to come.

On Saturday, September 15, actions organized by RefuseFascism.org, declared: “We must not wait to act. THIS NIGHTMARE MUST END: THE TRUMP/PENCE REGIME MUST GO!”
In New York City, 40-50 marched from Columbus Circle, where 15 or so flag-waving Trump supporters harassed them, to Trump Tower chanting “No Trump, No KKK, No Fascist USA.” Students from four high schools and colleges were part of the march, some protesting for the first time. They’d come out to protest Kavanaugh’s nomination, Trump’s lying and immorality, the torture of immigrants, the assaults on the environment, and more.
In San Francisco, protesters, including some in Handmaid’s costumes, rallied at Powell & Market and marched to Union Square. In Philadelphia, protesters displayed giant enlargements of Refuse Fascism’s indictments of the Trump/Pence regime. Houston high school students built for the protest declaring, “We are out here saying HELL NO to this orange shithead – All Out for Mass Protest Saturday, Sept 15!” In downtown Chicago, anti-Trump protesters also joined in a speakout against the police murder of Laquan MacDonald.
In Los Angeles, two dozen rallied and held a spirited marched in the streets of Hollywood, joined by a people on the sidewalks.
In Atlanta, protestors and others set up outside Music Midtown, a huge music festival, polarizing the crowd. When pro-Trumpers would yell out their dumb shit, they would be met right away by other youth chanting “Fuck Trump!” Hundreds took stickers and wore them into the music festival.
Actions also took place in Cleveland, Detroit, Boston, Honolulu and Seattle.
