We face a critical crossroads. As the regime tears up norms, refuses to be bound by elections, and unleashes fascist violence, voting is essential, but not enough! We need to take to the streets and stay in the streets demanding Trump/Pence Out Now! We must overwhelm their fascist coup and terror with our nonviolent, massive, day after day protests until the regime is removed from power. We must do this in the name of humanity.
Christian Theocracy + Destroying the Elections = FASCISM
The steamrolled confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett will lock in a pro-fascist majority to throw the election to Trump no matter how you vote. It will transform the highest court in the land into an instrument of white supremacist, Christian theocratic atrocity stripping women, LGBTQ people, and many more of their basic human rights. Trump is fulfilling a promise to Christian fascist followers to strip women of the right to decide whether and when to have a child — part of the Trump-Pence overall program to totally subordinate women to the patriarchal domination of men.
The Trump/Pence regime has already labeled legitimate protest as “sedition” and “insurrection.” It demonizes and brutalizes immigrants, Black people, Latinos, Native Americans, women, LGBTQ people, the media and peaceful protesters. It opposes science, leading to a country and a planet burning and drowning, and to unconscionable unnecessary death and illness from COVID.
This is fascism, hammering in a form of rule that relies on terror and violence. If fascism fully takes hold in this country, the consequences for humanity will be catastrophic.
We must act. Day after day from now through the election, come into the streets and city squares in non-violent protest to demand Trump/Pence OUTNOW!
Bring others and come back in waves, just as we did in June and July when we came back day after day to march for Black lives. With the demand that the regime must go, and mass non-violent protests that do not stop until the demand is met, hated regimes around the world have been driven from power.
Now is the time to show the world that we in our millions are uniting in mass, non-violent protest to demand Trump/Pence Out Now, not stopping till they’re gone.
