April 22   Hundreds of thousands of people, many of them scientists, rallied in over 600 cities worldwide and in the U.S. Saturday.

These protests were an unprecedented and highly important outpouring in defense of science. Science itself is under a deadly serious attack by the Trump/Pence Regime. As Refuse Fascism said going into this weekend, these attacks are “… driven by and in service of an ideological and political agenda”, and are occurring “in the larger context of an assault on truth itself, with ‘fake news’ and ‘alternative facts’ marshaled against any reality that does not serve their interests.”
