February 22 The Trump/Pence regime today announced that it is ending federal instructions that allowed the right of transgender students to use bathrooms based on the gender with which they identify. This is a significant, and very dangerous, victory for the Christian Fascists who are a large component of Trump’s fascist cabal. As many as 150,000 children and youths will be impacted by this bigoted, heartless decision. Further, Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, the longtime white supremacist who is Trump’s Attorney General, evoked the racist banner of “states’ rights” to justify the ruling. Rachel Tiven, chief executive of Lambda Legal, an organization which advocates for LGBT people, said “We all know that Donald Trump is a bully, but his attack on transgender children today is a new low”. It is also part of an entire fascist package. Trump’s regime must be ousted by a determined fight waged by millions of people.
