Share with your own networks of friends and followers why you are getting involved in mass nonviolent protests to drive out the Trump/Pence Regime. Wondering where to start? Make a list of 10 things Trump/Pence are doing that you oppose, that are compelling you to stand up. Thee can include crimes of the regime against women, LGBTQ people, Black people, immigrants, the environment, people around the world… and they can include ways that they are subverting and perverting people’s rights and protections (stealing the elections, kidnapping protesters, cheering for vigilante white supremacist violence, packing the courts with fascists). Also make a list of 10 things to be gained by standing up together — a better future for our children, living by our principles, celebrating diversity, overcoming despair, a world with clean air to breath, etc Once you get going, the reasons should be endless! Use this list to create your own content every single day — whether short videos, photos of yourself holding a piece of paper with your reasons, or just text as a post — and send this out regularly.- It makes a big difference for those who know you to see YOU arguing for this in your own words — and for all of us to see each other’s reasons and to be strengthened in doing this together.
Become a Social Media Warrior:
In addition to the above, go even further and work to get the demand — Trump/Pence Out Now– and the call for people to join these nonviolent protests in growing numbers in front of ever-greater numbers of people. Do this by entering into hot conversations and early into the feeds of prominent influencers. For example, when #TrumpCoupPlot was trending for a day on Twitter, use that hashtag to spread RF content — but also go and look at the conversations underway and enter into them with your arguments (or just reposts from RF) about why and how to join the protests. Tag (or enter into the conversations) of major influencers with this content. Get creative. DM us to join the Twitter Army!
