A year and a half ago, I quit my job and put up a go fund me to come to New York City to become a full-time organizer with RefuseFascism.org.

I recognized that what we were seeing in the Trump/Pence regime were the early warning signs of fascism.

As a descendant of a Holocaust survivor, we were taught in our family that if you see these warning signs, standing aside is what leads to genocide.

I’m not that different then anyone one else reading this. Everyday I’d be sickened by the latest outrage; Trump calling Mexicans rapists and saying Muslims should be banned from coming into this country.

I simply chose to act on what I felt.

We can’t wait and see. The truth is that waiting for the Mueller investigation or the 2020 elections while immigrant children are dying is a form of standing aside.

I never lose sight of the potential and real possibility to drive this regime out of power. 

I see the millions who hate this regime, the tens of thousands who have been out in the streets over the past year and I see that if these same people, stepped outside of their comfort zone and took to the streets, not just for one day but day after day; NOT STOPPING with one unified demand: This Nightmare Must End, The Trump/ Pence Regime Must Go, this regime too could be deposed.
