AMERICA AT 250

RULED BY AN ILLEGITIMATE FASCIST REGIME

ON TRACK TO DESTROY THE WORLD

The Trump Fascist Regime Must Go NOW!

In the Name of Humanity, We Refuse to Accept a Fascist America!

On this July 4, the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, Trump/MAGA fascists are celebrating their vision of freedom — the freedom for a fascist movement with a virulent and deluded social base to “save” their perceived future to do: what? To dominate and erase others, to hunt down immigrants and throw them into concentration camps, to disenfranchise and brutalize Black people, to subjugate women and LGBTQ people. The freedom to bomb civilians, kidnap leaders of sovereign nations, and commit war crimes with impunity.

The Trump/MAGA fascists seek to suppress and whitewash the real history of this country while celebrating and resurrecting the legacy of genocide, slavery, patriarchy and imperialist conquest.

The Trump regime’s war of aggression on Iran has brought the world to a perilous and uncertain moment. Even with his “ceasefire,” the dangers continue, including the possibility of wider war, immense human suffering, heightened global instability, and confrontation among powerful nuclear-armed states. Trump is leading humanity toward consequences whose full dimensions cannot yet be fully seen. This situation could have an enormous impact on the struggle to remove the Trump fascist regime.

THIS IS A TIME WHEN THE DEMAND:

“TRUMP MUST GO NOW!”

NEEDS TO BE SEEN, HEARD AND FELT EVERYWHERE.

Trump/MAGA fascism is not collapsing. In fact, every setback they face compels them to escalate their attacks to lock in their fascist program using every means at their disposal, unbound by domestic or international law. The more “unpopular” Trump becomes, the more he lashes out with revenge, hatred, and moral depravity, and the more hardened his fascist movement becomes, celebrating the use of intimidation, blackmail, and violence to eliminate opposition and crush dissent. The powerful sections of the rulers that back Trump, who have staked the future on changing the form of rule of this country, will not give up power easily.

Refusing to face this reality is unconscionable. Accommodation and conciliation with this fascism is immoral.

The danger we face is not only what the regime is doing. It is the millions who oppose fascism adjusting to, and being conditioned to, adapt to each new outrage. To tell themselves that the midterms or someone else will stop this. To learn to live with what they once swore they would never accept.

History is full of moments when people deluded themselves there was still time—until suddenly there wasn’t. The question now is whether that will happen again—or whether a force can be forged that is capable of providing the leadership needed to change the course of history.

As we approach this 250th anniversary, whether you believe in the promise of this country or think America has never been a land of the “free,” facing the truth about this fascism and acting nonviolently with others to stop it will decide whether or not we even have a future worth living in.

Fascism is advancing. But the more Trump commits outrageous acts of state repression and blunders internationally, the more legitimacy the regime loses. Divisions at the top of society could further widen, holding the possibility for the sleeping giant of the people to awaken and rise. A situation could emerge, provoked by a step too far by the regime—including in its attempts to steal the midterms—where millions refuse to cooperate and pour into the streets. If that moment comes, will there be a force capable of demanding and settling for nothing less than the removal of the Trump Fascist Regime? Or will the moment slip away?

HOW MUCH WILL WE LEARN TO ACCEPT?

America at 250 has not been this divided since the civil war. We are two countries within one border.

Right now, the fascist country is waging an all-out fight to win – to govern by fascist decree and brutal repression. What is the other “decent” country doing?  Way too many are willfully or blindly hoping this goes away. Others have courageously stood up against the regime’s attacks—especially by ICE—but are not being led to link this fight to the necessary struggle to remove the Trump regime. And the mainstream opposition continues to herd people to the dead-end of the midterms and to rely on courts when the ultimate decider right now is the fascist Supreme Court.

Those who insist that lobbying and midterms will resolve this are asking people to place their hopes in a future the regime is actively working to foreclose. They are asking people to trust institutions that have failed to stop fascism’s advance and a Democratic Party that has repeatedly shown itself unwilling to wage the kind of struggle this moment demands. They are offering reassurance where alarm is needed, patience where resistance is needed, and the illusion of a painless way out where none exists. The greatest service that can be rendered to the Trump Regime is to convince people that someone else will stop it. That they can go on with their lives while fascism advances. And those directing people to place their hopes in the next election are not preparing them to stop fascism. They are preparing them to live with it.

Only a growing DEMAND: TRUMP MUST GO NOW! reaching into every corner of society, with people acting to assert it everywhere, can stop this fascism…People choosing conscience over compliance. Students walking out. Communities defending those under attack. Educators and artists refusing censorship. Public servants refusing complicity. Refusing to let immigrants be disappeared, truth be censored, or whole groups of people be sacrificed. A growing refusal spreading from campuses to neighborhoods, from cultural institutions to the halls of power, disrupting business as usual until the regime faces a profound crisis of legitimacy—one in which millions, acting nonviolently and in concert, become an undeniable force compelling the removal of the Trump fascist regime for the threat it poses to humanity’s future.

In the Name of Humanity, We Refuse to Accept a Fascist America!

TRUMP MUST GO NOW !

Join Refuse Fascism—building a movement across the country that is clear on the problem—Trump fascism—and uniting all who can be united to stop it through mass, nonviolent struggle demanding TRUMP MUST GO NOW.

IN THE NAME OF HUMANITY, WE REFUSE TO ACCEPT A FASCIST AMERICA!

NOW IS the TIME WHEN WE MUST RISE UP and ACT to STOP the CONSOLIDATION of TRUMP MAGA FASCISM. For the lives of people here and around the world we must refuse unlawful and inhumane orders… we must fill the streets and town squares in non-violent protest—not stopping until we become millions — not relenting until this regime is no longer able to implement its program or maintain its hold on power.
