FED UP! Dine Out October 12 to Help Stop a Fascist America
WHO: Local restaurant and coffee shop owners and Refuse Fascism Philly
WHAT: Coordinated fundraiser at local restaurants and coffee shops to support the movement to drive out the fascist Trump/Pence regime.
WHEN/WHERE: Friday October 12 at Sam’s Morning Glory Diner, Hardena, Renata’s Kitchen, High Point Cafe, Blackbird, and More TBA
On Friday October 12 Philadelphians can strengthen the movement to drive out the Trump/Pence regime just by going out to dinner (or lunch) at your favorite restaurant or getting coffee at your favorite coffee shop. So far, four of Philadelphia’s finest establishments are taking part in the FED UP fundraising event. A percentage of sales will be contributed to RefuseFascism.org to support determined struggle of the people that doesn’t yield and compels the removal of the Trump/Pence regime. Massive non-violent protests that don’t end after one day, but come back day after day after day, growing to millions raising the demand: THIS NIGHTMARE MUST END: THE TRUMP/PENCE REGIME MUST GO!
Mark Tinkleman from Refuse Fascism Philly stated, “You may know Refuse Fascism Philly from their large and fiery demonstrations when representatives of the regime come to town, the public programs they’ve organized, emergency rapid response protests to outrages or large-scale public art displays. RefuseFascism.org is mobilizing to put before hundreds of thousands, the only viable vision and plan to stop the nightmare of the Trump/Pence regime.” They are preparing for protests the day after the midterm elections and protests on Saturday, November 10 because no matter who wins, a fascist regime will still be in power and it will still be up to the people to drive it out.
As children continue to be locked away in cages and whole families face indefinite detention, as the Supreme Court is on the verge of a pro- fascist majority cementing the Trump/Pence program into place for generations to come, and as Trump’s finger rests on the nuclear trigger, they RESOLVE that nothing short of removing this whole illegitimate regime from power will stop this nightmare.
Dine out at one of the participating establishments on Friday, October 12 to contribute to projecting this message far and wide, bringing many more people into this all-volunteer movement to end this nightmare, and preparing for the kind of struggle needed to actually drive this regime from power.
