On the morning of January 3, Trump announced on social media that the U.S. had invaded Venezuela and abducted Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro. Trump openly threatened a “large-scale strike,” signaling destruction, civilian casualties, and the use of overwhelming military force as a display of raw power.

This must be opposed NOW—not later, not quietly, but openly and in the streets.

Emergency Protests organized by ANSWERCoalition and others were held across the country. Refuse Fascism led contingents with the slogans: STOP THE  ILLEGAL WAR ON VENEZUELA! TRUMP MUST GO NOW!
