The Joseph Goebbels Excellence Award for Demonizing and Persecuting “Undesirables” is presented to

Attorney General Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III

In recognition of his outstanding achievements:

First and foremost we commend the Attorney General’s recent Goebbelsian comments about the “tide of evil” boiling up from Mexico. As he wrote, “It is here, on this sliver of land, where we first take our stand against this filth.” (Goebbels Award PDF)

For dutifully echoing the Trumpf’s lead in fear-mongering about the drugs, gangs, and crime flooding across the border.

For making sure EVERY undocumented person feels the raw terror that they can be snatched, imprisoned, and deported at any time, for any reason or no reason at all. As he said, “Everybody in the country illegally is subject to being deported.”

For hiring many more federal immigration judges to speed up the deportation process.

For criminalizing helping, transporting, or harboring undocumented immigrants.

For slashing the minimal protections against abuse of immigration detainees.

For his bold “enough is enough” threat to “sanctuary cities” that they must cooperate with ICE by June 30, or have federal funding cut off.

For fearlessly holding the thin blue line of law and order against the tide of “rising crime rates” [alternative fact]. For withdrawing federal oversight and minimal restraints imposed on local police so that they can take the gloves off and DO THEIR JOB (of new levels of violence against Black/Latino people).

For his efforts to make white Americans feel special again. As he said, “It is time to champion the interests of those constantly neglected on the question of immigration: the men and women and children we represent – the citizens of this country to whom we owe our ultimate allegiance.”

In the category of “Lifetime Achievement,” we recognize his wholehearted commitment to Making America White Again.

Joseph Goebbels would be proud!
