On July, 19, the LA Times exposed how the Los Angeles Police Department infiltrated and spied on meetings of Refuse Fascism and the Revolution Club. The illegal police spying came to light in politically-motivated cases against the #Freeway9 and #UCLA5, courageous protesters blocked the 101 Freeway on two occasions, and interrupted and intervened at a speech by Trump’s secretary of the treasury Steve Mnuchin at UCLA calling on people to take to the streets in nonviolent but determined and sustained protest to drive out the Trump/Pence fascist regime.
On July 23, 2019, Refuse Fascism activists went to a meeting of the LA Police Commission to demand to know who ordered this spying. Police Chieft Moore responded with disinformation, lies and slander to justify this spying.
