“As thousands across the country protested the wanton shooting of Jacob Blake by Kenosha, Wisconsin police as his children watched in shock and horror,” says Carl Dix of RefuseFascism.org, “the RNC opened with one screeching declaration after another that Trump and company are determined to impose fascist rule: where gun-toting white racists – and the Confederacy – are celebrated and backed by the state, where police are given a blank check to terrorize and murder people of color, and where those who oppose these outrages are labeled “mobs” and “criminals” and legally persecuted.”
