There is much that is still being learned about the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a key figure in the fascist movement associated with Trump, on a campus today. But whatever might come to light, actions such as these have nothing to do with the principles and political objectives of Refuse Fascism and the call we have put forth for massive, sustained nonviolent resistance by millions of people with the goal of driving the Trump Fascist Regime from power.

While we don’t know the motives of the shooter, this assassination does harm to – and works against – what is needed to actually defeat fascism, and can lead to further repression on people and their rights.
