Refuse Fascism and a coalition of over 30 partner organizations demanding “Trump Must Go Now” will protest in front of SCOTUS to say “Love Won, We Won’t Go Back! The Trump Fascist Regime Must Go Now!”
On the day the Supreme Court is having a private conference to consider a petition to overrule Obergefell v. Hodges (2015) the constitutional right to same sex marriage from notorious Christian fascist county clerk Kim Davis.
This is the same Supreme court that overturned Roe v. Wade, struck down racial affirmative action in college admissions, upheld Tennessee’s ban on gender-affirming care for trans children, permitted Trump to run for a second term despite the Constitution’s ban on insurrectionists holding public office, and granted Trump forever immunity from prosecution for any crime he commits in the name of “official presidential duties”.
“The Christian fascists who form a core of the Trump/MAGA fascist movement have long held gay marriage in their sights, and the fascist-stacked Supreme Court has become an instrument to advance Trump/MAGA fascism,” says Sunsara Taylor of Refuse Fascism. “The lesson from the Dobbs decision was that the people have to be in the streets unrelentingly to defend the rights and lives of LGBT people, and we must right now grow into a movement of millions to flood DC and nonviolently drive out the Trump Fascist Regime before it becomes too late.”
This action comes after the powerful rally and march from the Washington Monument to Stanton Park on November 5, launching and calling millions into sustained nonviolent mass protests that will not stop until the Trump regime is removed from power.
