Deportations During the Trump Regime – Striking Terror into the Lives of Millions

“Bad ones are going out as I speak”. Trump addressing Congress February 28.

Jose Escobar and his family

Among the people deported by the Trump/Pence regime this week: Jose Escobar, a 31-year-old father of two with no criminal record. Escobar was arrested in Houston and sent to El Salvador, where he has not lived since he was 15. Daniela Vargas, 22, of Jackson, Mississippi, arrested after she spoke at a press conference and called for a “path to citizenship” for undocumented immigrants. She had been in the U.S. since she was 7. 48-year-old Romulo Avelica-Gonzalez, arrested the day Trump gave his speech, as he drove his daughter to school in Los Angeles. Avelica-Gonzalez had been in the U.S. 25 years.

Eleven million people have been declared criminals by Trump. They are being told to turn themselves in or wait to be snared. Even when they spend years doing what they are told, appearing before every hearing, filing every paper, paying every fee – any minor bureaucratic snag can lead to sudden arrest and deportation. The very randomness of the attacks is intended to strike terror into the lives of millions.  The arrests and deportations must stop! Refuse to accept a fascist America!

IN THE NAME OF HUMANITY, WE REFUSE TO ACCEPT A FASCIST AMERICA!

NOW IS the TIME WHEN WE MUST RISE UP and ACT to STOP the CONSOLIDATION of TRUMP MAGA FASCISM. For the lives of people here and around the world we must refuse unlawful and inhumane orders… we must fill the streets and town squares in non-violent protest—not stopping until we become millions — not relenting until this regime is no longer able to implement its program or maintain its hold on power.
