SF Pride 2026 drew hundreds of thousands of attendees all spread out along the 1.6-mile Market Street parade route. The crowd shouted, smiled and waved in support at the big yellow banner that read the words, “TRUMP MUST GO NOW!” with many spectators shouting the words in unison. The banner was featured in local news coverage, reaching many thousands more with the demand that must spread everywhere now!
The theme of this year’s Pride Parade was Resistance in Action. As the Trump regime doubles down on its attacks on LGBTQ people, backed by the Supreme Court, this spirit of resistance is needed all over the country – a spirit to be marshaled towards driving this regime from power!

This year’s theme “Resistance in Action” came in response to a series of targeted policies against the LGBTQ+ community — the trans community, especially — from President Donald Trump. That includes a ban, ruled illegal by an appeals court, on transgender people serving in the military and attempts to gain access to the medical records of youth who are transgender.
